ROSE CITY QUARTET

The Rose City Quartet was organized in July of 2001.  Charter members consist of Chuck & Jean Roach, Jim Parsons, Jon Sheppard and Clay Winskie.  Committed to presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through southern gospel music, the Rose City Quartet blends the harmonies of these men with the styles of the greatest male quartets in history.  The Rose City Quartet is extremely blessed with the ability to present many newly composed songs, along with old favorites from time past.  In December of 2001, RCQ recorded their first project, "Freedom", which consisted of five of Clay Winskie's more recent compositions, along with "The Ragged Old Flag", a favorite patriotic redition of Johnnie Cash.  The second project, "Till The Last Lamb Is Home", recorded by Rose City in December of 2002, has the title song also written by Clay Winskie, along with several favorite songs recorded by professional groups in the Southern Gospel community.  In March of 2004, Jon Sheppard resigned the group, as he needed to spend more time with his family.  David Edwards stepped in as lead singer and has added a tremendous voice to this group, along with a great ear for blending and arranging.  In December of 2004, the last project was recorded, "Echoes From The Past", which has songs written and recorded by the legends in Southern Gospel music from the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's, great Southern Gospel songs that many remember while growing up listening to the radio. During this ministry, the Rose City Quartet has had the privilege of singing with such great groups as THE KINGSMEN,  THE FLORIDA BOYS, BUDDY LILES, THE TEXANS, THE MELODY BOYS, TONEY BROTHERS, INSPIRATIONS, DOWN EAST BOYS, ERNIE HAASE & SIGNATURE SOUND, DIXIE MELODY BOYS, MARK TRAMMEL TRIO, THE DOVE BROTHERS and many more great groups!   This ministry has seen souls saved and Christians renewed in their faith, as the group has sung to churches and organizations over Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana and Ohio.  Rose City's goal is that everyone hearing this group will find Jesus.  Rose City wants everyone to know the Christ who they serve and sing about and that their brothers and sisters in Christ will walk closer to Him with the Joy of the Lord in their hearts as they hear the Gospel presented in Southern Gospel music.
