Rose City Quartet presents, " Echos From the Past".
The Rose City Quartet, What can I say! The first time I met them I lIked them. Not just for their singing, that was easy. I liked them as people. Now don't get me wrong, they work hard, they sing great, and they strive for excellence, which everyone should do who sings or preaches the name of Jesus, but how they live speaks louder than how they sing. I should know. I've rode the bus with these folks. Met almost all their in-laws and out-laws, ate with them, hugged their kids, stayed in their homes and spent hours rehearsing songs and offering advice. It has been both a joy and honor to be a service to them. I'm proud of them! Proud to know them, proud to work with them. Texas should be proud they call it their home.
So listen to this project, you'll like what you hear. I promise you though, that if you ever meet them, you'll fall in love with them, too.

Finally, The Selfless Ones In Our Southern Gospel Heritage - you faced great costs (knowing the rewards were not of this world) and paved the way musically, while showing us what a servant's heart is all about. May we be faithful to pass it on. This collection of songs represent only a tiny part.
We dedicate this project to Clay Winskie. God blessed the Rose City Quartet beyond words when He brought this young man in as our baritone singer. Little did we know that God not only blessed him with a voice and a musical talent, but also as a songwriter. Five of the songs recorded on this project were written and arranged by Clay ("IF YOU ARE BREATHING," "LAY IT DOWN," "THE WORLD CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC," "ON MY KNEES," and "SING THE SONGS IN GLORY"). We feel God truly blessed us with not only calling Clay to come in and round out the voices, but to give us an anointed songwriter.
Other songs on "Freedom" include Rusty Goodman's "WHO AM I," and two older Cathedral Quartet songs "THE PRODIGAL SON," and "MY LORD WILL SEND A MOSES." We also included a four-part version of Greater Vision's "HE'S STILL WAITING BY THE WELL." The song that has received the most attention from this recording is our updated version of Johnny Cash's "RAGGED OLD FLAG" which features tight harmonies from the quartet and a stirring narration by Jim Parsons. We have received requests for this song from coast to coast and even Alaska!
Thanks to our families, friends and a multitude of others who have encouraged us to follow our God-given dreams!

TIL THE LAST LAMB IS HOME!
The Rose City Quartet entitled our second project "Til The Last Lamb Is Home"! Recorded in Nashville with The Eddie Crook Company, "Til The Last Lamb is Home" contains some old, some new! This project includes "HE'S MY LORD" written by Mark Trammell, "OLD TIME CAMPMEETING" written by Roger Hickman, the classic "STEP INTO THE WATER," "GLORIOUS HEAVEN" written by Greg Lykins, Duane Allen's "WITHOUT JESUS YOU WON'T MAKE HEAVEN," acappella spiritual "SHO DO NEED HIM NOW," 'Big Chief' Wetherington's "TRYING TO GET A GLIMPSE," and a medley of our favorite hymns including "SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER," "GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS," "THE OLD RUGGED CROSS," and "HOW GREAT THOU ART." Once again, Clay allowed the Holy Spirit to direct his path as he wrote "LET IT GO AND LAY IT DOWN," the title song "TIL THE LAST LAMB IS HOME," and, with co-writer Terry Downs, "GOD CAN USE WHAT HE WANTS TO USE."
